11BYBBS

A brand we built from scratch in collaboration with Boris Bidjan Saberi, taking care of the creative direction, including everything, from the global concept and structure of the collection to the smallest design detail. We ran the project from AW13 to SS19, working through roughly twenty collections creating a genuine identity.

The core of our work revolved around creative direction: leading teams, shaping concepts, and building collections from the ground up. We were equally involved in product design and development, taking ideas from initial sketches through prototypes, fittings, revisions, and samples, all the way through production management and final delivery.

Beyond the product itself, we always styled and directed the lookbook shoots, and often designed and built our showrooms in Paris. It was a hands-on process from concept to reality, with very little that fell outside our scope.

Ortlieb, the German technical bagwear brand, was a long collaboration that started in the first season and ran across most of the brand's life. We developed a range with them from dry backpacks to oversized duffel bags, and a 11byBBS first-aid kit.

Another long term collaboration was the NEWERAX11BYBBS headwear collection, we reworked many models from the brand catalog.

We opened a flagship store in New York, we did an opening party and a poster campaign in the streets of the city.

What began as a collection of 11 references gradually evolved into a product universe of more than 250 styles. Behind that growth was years of work refining patterns, proportions, and silhouettes, alongside constant experimentation with dyeing techniques, finishing processes, and graphic applications. Each product became an opportunity to expand the system while maintaining a coherent design language.

Transformable and adjustable garments, multifunctional. Looking for challenging garment designs bringing new ways to understand and consume products.

Other collaborations followed: Afterlife (co-launched with Antonioli for their Ibiza retail), Montana (Catalan pioneer spray-can supplier), and a capsule with Los Angeles artist Philamerica.

We built the rest of the brand around the clothes. Every season we produced "Combos", fanzines of eleven posters stapled together that documented the highlights. The Paris showroom was designed and produced in-house, year after year.
