REBEL BY DESIGN
WITH ALEIX BARAU FOR NIKE RUNNING
We helped our friend and neighbour Aleix Barau to design and produce a running capsule collection for Nike Running.
We developed a small production of kits in our laboratory. The kits consisted in; a pair of Nike Vomero's plus, a windbreaker, a t-shirt, shorts, leggins, socks, a cap and sunglasses.
We designed all graphic elements of the collection and later produced and applied them ourselves. DTF prints, reflective cut vinyls, hand-applied splattered spray drops, and a custom 3D-printed lace keeper dipped in gold were some of the techniques used throughout the project.

Several pieces required manual interventions. Sleeves were removed, printed separately, and sewn back onto the garments. Sneakers and caps were carefully masked before being splattered with silver paint and combined with irregular reflective vinyl dots that would catch the light when photographed with flash.
Our laboratory was in full production for a few days, thanks to the help of some good friends.

Because the collection was developed for running, we explored the contrast between reflective and non-reflective surfaces. Sleeves and leggings featured an all-over trencadís-inspired pattern that concealed a Swoosh, only revealed under flash photography.
